Ty Turns 3!!!

Ty turned 3 last Saturday!!! We celebrated with a birthday party at the Monkey's Treehouse for Ty and his cousin Malcolm with our families and a few friends. It was a great time. Ty was having so much fun playing that it took him a while to realize anyone else was there! He had been talking about the cake for a while and telling me that at his party he was "not gonna eat dinner first" so he was thrilled at cake time. After the party we came to the house and Mom and Dad gave him his new Jeep. He is loving it and all his new toys. He has been well entertained this week! It is so hard for me to believe that my baby boy is 3 years old. It seems like not long ago I saw him for the first time. I could cry just thinking about how fast he is growing, but I am so very thankful that he is growing and healthy. Ansley turned 18 months on Saturday as well. I am learning to cherish every moment of these early years because they are so fleeting. We have been blessed beyond anything we could imagine with these precious children. Hopefully this blog will help me preserve some of the memories.

Halloween Night

We had a fun Halloween this year. The Dixons came in from Alabama so Ty and Ansley got to go Trick or Treating with their cousins. We ate chili at Mom and Dad's house and set out in their neighborhood with a Star Wars clone thingy, a penguin, a ladybug, Superman, and Tinkerbell(Ty called her "Stinkerbell"). We were quite a site. Ty and Micah insisted on holding hands the whole time and Micah kept reminding us that Ty was in his words "My Best Friend!"(insert his new Alabama accent) The kids scored tons of candy and I have consequently gained a pound this week I'm pretty sure. Ty loves organizing his since I am mean and won't let him eat it until he has eaten a good meal (which is rare for him). Don't worry he has gotten to eat some. Ansley of course has too. It's amazing how my first child didn't know what a sucker was until he was 2 and my second child was pointing and yelling "sucker" at the bank at 16 months old because Ty has informed her about such things at a young age! Anyway, we had a great weekend. My next post will have birthday pictures!

Trunk or Treat 2008

We had Trunk or Treat at Church last night. It was so much fun. Ty dressed up as Superman and Ansley was Tinkerbell. Ty was so excited to be able to eat unusual amounts of cookies and candy. He has been sorting and organizing his candy on the couch a lot today. Ansley just kept saying "Tandy!" (candy) the whole time we were walking around the parking lot. It was so cute. There were so many people there. It was a great night. Enjoy the many pictures!

We weren't sure we would get to do it today because Ansley has been sick, but she is better and we went to Gentry's Farm today. This is our 3rd year to do this, and it is officially a tradition for us. The kids loved it. They had a blast on the "hay"ride and doing all the fun activities. They each got to pick out their own mini pumpkin to bring home. Ansley unfortunately bit a chunk out of her's on the way home. I heard Ty in the back yelling "Don't eat it Sissy!", but it was too late. I guess she will like pumpkin pie someday! Brian and I really enjoyed watching the kids. They are at such fun ages right now. They are constantly making us laugh. The weather was surprisingly hot today! One year we were there in gloves, hats and coats. This year we were sweating in our short sleeves. That is October in Tennessee for you! It was a beautiful day though, and we enjoyed being outside. I took lots of pictures so here is a sampling. Oh, and Ty came down with a fever tonight :(. At least we got to have our family day in the 24 hours that everyone was well! I look forward to many years of this tradition!

Happy Birthday Bennett!

Sweet Bennett turned 1 last Saturday! We had a great time celebrating this big milestone! I forgot my camera so I pirated some pictures from mom. Just had to get his sweet face on here and mark this event!
