Last Day of Preschool

First Day of Preschool
Last Day of Preschool
Yesterday was Ty's last day of Preschool for this year. I don't think he realizes it fully yet. He loved it so much this year. I was a little worried about sending him at the beginning of the year, but I am so glad that I did. He went from 9:00 to 2:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Of course it was nice for me to be able to run errands and such with one child instead of two, but the benefits far exceeded that. He really loved being with the other kids. He has learned several memory verses and bible stories. He got to be in 2 programs which were really good for him because he has a tendency to be shy. He developed a real love for painting and crafts and learned several new songs. I am of course trying to teach him these things at home as well, but he was able to experience different people teaching him Godly principles. Harpeth Hills Preschool is amazing, and I highly recommend it. They are truly focused on what is important. He had the most precious teachers, Miss Ashley and Miss Michele, and we are sad to say goodbye to them. I am holding out hope that maybe Ansley will have them next year, but I'm sure all of the teachers are great! I am posting 2 pics from his first day of preschool and 3 from yesterday (in which he is being silly!). He has changed quite a bit in these past 9 months. I am so proud of him for doing so well with this adjustment. He will surely miss his preschool this summer, but I am excited to get to have him all to myself (for the most part :))

New Blog

Hey friends! I wanted to let you all know about some deals I have found lately, but I didn't want to infiltrate my kid's childhood memories with coupon codes. Therefore, I decided to start another blog where I share tips with my friends. I know some of you will make fun of me behind my back for this (You know who you are.), but that is okay. :) Take a look if you want. I will try to add the link to my blog soon. I'm just here to help, friends.

Ansley's First Haircut

Ansley had her first haircut today! I managed to wait 2 years, but it was time. Actually, I have been dreading it and pretty much refusing to do it. I felt a whim this week that it needed to be done and decided to act quickly. Otherwise, I may have changed my mind and would have probably waited until she was 12. Her hair had gotten long in the back, but it was a bit of a mullet(okay a lot). We just cut off the scragglies. It looks much healthier! Oh, and she was a champ. She sat there happily the entire time. Yea Ansley! Ty got a much needed haircut too and looks adorable. Here are some pics of the big event!
Before (Don't worry. She can still have pigtails.)
Um, what are we doing here?

My Little Girl is 2!!!

Ansley Brooke turned 2 on Friday May 1st. It is so hard to believe that she is already 2 years old. On the other hand, it is hard to imagine life without her. She is such a bright light in our home. That sweet voice and huge smile could brighten any day. She is so full of life and is so funny. We have been so blessed to have her for the last 2 years. On Saturday we celebrated her birthday with our family at our house. The weather was yucky so we were stuck inside with 11 kids and about 20 adults, but it went really well! There were no broken items and very little screaming! Ansley loves Dora, so we had a Dora theme. She was so excited about that. We are so blessed to get to celebrate these days with our family. Looking around it was just so clear how much God has blessed us. Praise Him for His goodness and for creating this beautiful girl!

Aunt Karen's 50th

Last Friday night we celebrated my Aunt Karen's 50th birthday. It was a girl's night out with some of my favorite ladies! We went to Nero's Grille. Sarah did a great job planning. We had a blast. I had some good pictures so I thought I would post a few. Happy Birthday Aunt Karen! You are one truly amazing woman!

Easter Day

Okay, one last Easter post for the year! The kids were so excited that the Easter Bunny was coming and couldn't wait to see their baskets on Easter morning. They got coloring books, books, toothbrushes (Dora and Lightning McQueen okay?!), Cars (Ty), the new Veggie Tales movie (Ansley), Veggie Tales Bible (Ty), fingerpaints (Ansley), and a few other little things. The Easter Bunny tried to be practical this year. :) On Easter Day Mom and Dad went to church with us and then we all went to eat lunch at Longhorn. Ansley didn't do so well at lunch, but aside from that it was a great day. That night we visited the Ethos church and loved it. It was a great Easter. I am so thankful that Christ rose and defeated death so that we could live. We tried to really start teaching the kids (especially Ty) about the true meaning of Easter this year. We used Easter books and these things called Resurrection Eggs. I would recommend them. Okay, the Easter posts have ended at last! Here are the pics from the day!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Here are some pics from our church Easter Egg hunt at the Ezell's house. We had an egg hunt and a lunch. It was all really nice. The kids racked up once again!
