We had an easter egg hunt at Brian's parents' house on Monday. It was supposed to be Saturday but was rained out. There were 12 kids and lots of eggs. This was Ansley's first experience at hunting eggs. She much preferred to pick out one plastic egg and chew on it. Ty on the other hand loved getting the eggs. However, he wanted to eat the candy from each one as soon as he picked it up. It took me a few minutes to explain the concept that you get as many as you can and look inside when it's over. Hopefully he won't apply that lesson to other areas of life someday! When it was over we let the kids have a candy free for all. Ty has never experienced such pleasure in his life and kept looking at me like "I can't believe this is happening". He quickly shoved as much candy in his mouth as would fit over and over because he knew this would surely end. It was hilarious. Ansley got a few bites of chocolate herself and smiled really big. She now knows what she's been missing! It was lots of fun and will hopefully become a tradition. More egg hunts to come this weekend! What fun! Ty and I also dyed eggs yesterday for the first time. He really enjoyed it, and he kept trying to eat the eggs because they looked like candy I guess. It's so great that he's old enough to enjoy these things now. It makes me feel like a kid again (except that I have to clean up the mess!) Here are some pics of the fun!
