Well, it was a busy weekend as you see by my multiple posts, but it was all topped off with trunk or treat tonight. It was a blast. Ty was so amazed by everything. He just stared and stared. Thankfully he didn't get scared of all of the strange costumes and such. He was a honey pot (props to Nana for the costume!). I know I'm biased, but I thought he was extremely cute. You can be the judge. Brian and I were dressed as "Rock Stars" in staying with the theme that our juniors chose. It was fun to get dressed up and act goofy. Every now and then you need a reminder that you aren't a total old fogey! I hope you enjoy the pictures. The one with the little girl is Ty's friend Taylor and her mom Sara (my friend). I thought it was cute that they were staring at each other. Ty got some candy (hee hee). I wonder who will eat that??? He is just so much fun. Oh, he also took at least 7 or 8 steps in a row tonight. Big day!

My Girls
On Saturday night I got to go to a sleepover with the junior girls we coach at church. We do this once a year and it is called our anniversary party. This year we surprised the girls with a dinner with their fathers in which the fathers told them a lot of things they loved about them and hoped for them. It went great and we all had a good time. God blessed the night. It was a great idea by my fellow coach Lynn Hopkins. Brian and Ty spent the night at home and came to church this morning without a glitch. Brian is such a wonderful and capable daddy. I'm so thankful for that. It's nice to get out for a night every now and then. I wanted to share this picture of the girls. They are a special group.
Birthday Extravaganza!!!
This weekend we celebrated Ty's first birthday with his cousins on the Petty side of the family. The 3 boys (Malcolm, Alex, and Ty) were all born within 2 days of each other last year! They are quite a sight when they are together. Everyone had a great time. The boys were so cute. Ty wasn't too thrilled about birthday cake. In fact, he screamed and cried about it. Oh well, maybe he won't like sweets (yeah right). He did rather enjoy the chili though. The boy loves beans! Do they make baby beano? The boys all got some great gifts including lots of fun toys. We had a great lunch and enjoyed some family time. It is so amazing to look at how much God has blessed our family with these precious children. He is so faithful to provide blessings. I have attached several pictures from the party. We will be partying again next weekend so stay tuned for more photos!

Day of Firsts
Today was a day of many firsts. Ty had his first cheese, his first black beans, and his first ice cream(daddy slipped it in on me!). He also ate off of a plate for the first time. But the big first was his first hayride (which strangely didn't have hay!). He loved the ride, especially when we stopped to watch the cows. We went to Gentry Farm again with our life group from church. Unfortunately my camera was dead when we got there, but my friend Brooke took some good pics for me. It was a really fun day even though it was rather cold. Ty endured the cold well in his bundled up state. I'll attach a cute picture from the last Gentry's Farm trip just for fun! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

First Annual Petty Pumpkin Day!!!
Yesterday we had the first annual Petty Pumpkin Day. We took Ty to Gentry's Farm in Franklin where they have a huge pumpkin patch and you can pick out your pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. We had never been there. It's a great place to go. They have all kinds of activities, but we were too late in the day to do anything else. We got 2 big pumpkins and 4 baby pumpkins for $6! Ty was pretty excited about being outside and crawling around the pumpkins. We got some good photos (I finally found the camera!). We've decided that this will be a family tradition for us. After the pumpkin patch we headed over to Cracker Barrell for a family dinner. It was a great day!

Baby #2 is Doing Great!
Today was our first doctor's visit. We had an ultrasound, and everything looked great. The baby's heart was beating strong, and it was a quite a cute little peanut. The due date was confirmed for May 15th. We feel so blessed to have another precious baby on the way. We would love to have your continued prayers for this little one.
Showers and Family Fun
This past weekend we had 2 baby showers for Karen (my sis-in-law). They went great and baby Jack got lots of goodies. We are so looking forward to meeting him. He is supposed to be here in January. Aunt Kim and aunt Janet came in from Texas for the weekend and we got to spend some time with them. It was a wonderful weekend. Unfortunately I can't find my camera so I have no pictures.
